I do not accept insurance. If you are in WA state, I am considered an out of network provider and I can provide monthly superbills (receipts) that you can submit to your insurance provider for possible reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance provider about their out of network reimbursement. If you are elsewhere in the U.S., I can work with you as an emotionally-focused financial coach. Currently, insurance providers do not provide reimbursement for coaching services.
The goal of my work is always to decrease shame and increase self-trust around money. What we may work on together:
1) Your relationship with money and finances. What is your “money story”? How does money make you feel? What does it mean to you? What beliefs about money were handed to you?
2) Your core values. Are your financial goals aligned with your personal values? Or are you trying to follow someone else's idea of success? What does success look like for you?
3) Your money practice. Just like a mindfulness or movement practice, your relationship with money will thrive with the right structures in place. First we’ll get a clear, honest look at your financial picture. What’s working? More importantly - what’s NOT working? I’ll help you put structures in place that support your financial AND emotional well-being.
My therapeutic approach: I believe learning to trust ourselves is the foundation to healing. I use a combination of systems theory, narrative therapy, parts work, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), somatic practices, and mindfulness practices to help nurture your sense of self-trust and get to the heart of the issue. I hold a strengths-based, inclusionary, altruistic ethical worldview. I believe each person knows intuitively what they truly need and I believe each person has the ability to self-heal; I am simply a guide and collaborator in your healing journey.
I am a licensed clinical social worker associate (LSWAIC) in the state of Washington, and a Certified Financial Therapist-Level I™ Professional through the Financial Therapy Association.
